I always try to keep a small selection of instruments ready for trial and immediate purchase.

At present I can offer three instruments:


Large treble viol after Henry Jaye

42 cm string length, Back and ribs from plum, neck from cherry, finger board and tail piece veneered ebony and pegs in ebony. An excellent consort and solo instrument. 		  Large treble

Tenor, my own model

56 cm string length, back from walnut and cherry, sides and neck from maple, finger board and tail piece in yew and fitted with boxwood pegs. 		  Tenor

Seven string bass viol after Michel Collichon

string length 69 cm, back, sides and neck from maple, relief carving on pegbox cheeks, finger board and tailpiece veneered ebony and pegs in ebony. 		  Seven string bass

This instrument is a homage to Dietrich Kessler who died in 2007. I was in the lucky position to buy the wood for this viol from the stock he left behind.
